Staccato Basic is an AI-powered MIDI co-writer designed for producers, composers, and songwriters who want to explore fresh musical ideas for personal, non-commercial projects. Use it as a standalone application or directly inside your DAW as a VST3, AU, or AAX plugin, then generate original MIDI from simple text prompts in seconds.

Unlike AI tools that deliver finished audio, Staccato creates fully editable MIDI that fits naturally into your existing production workflow. Generate melodies, chord progressions, basslines, drums, sections, and multi-instrument ideas, then shape everything with your own instruments, sounds, and production choices.

Staccato Basic is a great way to experience the creative power of AI-assisted MIDI composition, with the same musician-first approach that makes Staccato so unique. However, this Basic version is intended for personal use only and does not include commercial usage rights or the Record/Upload feature.

For users who want to release music commercially, work on client projects, upload or record reference material, or access the full Staccato workflow, we strongly recommend choosing Staccato Pro instead. Pro unlocks all features and is the best option for producers who want the complete creative experience.

Important Limitations:

• Personal / non-commercial use only
• No commercial music releases, paid work, or client projects
• Record/Upload feature not included
• For full commercial use and all features, choose Staccato Pro
