DB-30 Drum butter
Description
Drum processing made fast, fun, and inspiring. Add flavor, punch, and character in seconds.
The secret ingredient for great drums.
Spread it on thick, or just add a hint. From subtle flavor to bold transformations, DB-30 can take your drums in any direction.
Designed for
instant character.
DB-30 Drum Butter is built for the way you actually work: quick experimentation, fast decisions, great results.
Drop it on a drum loop, drum machine pattern, or live drum recording and start turning knobs.
Six creative modules.
Zero friction.
Six carefully designed modules work together to deliver powerful results while staying fast and intuitive.
Boom Shack
Low-end weight. Top-end character.
Two modules in one: Boom adds low-end weight to your drums, while Shack lets you layer characterful noises that organically blend with your original snare sound.
- Boom adds deep low-end energy where your kick lives. Enable Acid Mode for growly, rave-ready bass tones.
- Shack brings noisy character, texture, and bite to snares and hi-hats.
- Simple, intuitive controls for pinpoint triggering and easy layering
Shift
Transform your beat.
Shift lets you bend frequency and formant, separately or together. Add a hint of flavor, or take your track in a completely new direction.
- Shift frequency and formant independently or in unison
- Create dramatic drops, transitions, and evolving grooves
- Add subtle character or bold tonal transformations. Use Target to create movement in attack or sustain.
Space
Depth, width, and atmosphere.
Give your drums a sense of place. Add lush, natural reverbs ranging from rooms of all sizes, to vibey vintage hardware units and otherworldly spaces.
- Add depth, width, and atmosphere to your drums
- Dial in anything from subtle ambience to big, spacious effects
- Detailed controls, including pan, width, decay, and stretch
Compress
Punch, smack, and glue made easy.
Add punch and control to your drums. Tighten grooves, make your drums come alive, and push your beat with energetic pumping.
- Six modes tuned for drum processing, inspired by classic compression circuits
- Quickly apply subtle glue or bold pumping effects
- Dial in otherwise complex processing like parallel, upwards/downwards, and single/multiband compression with intuitive single slider controls
Saturate
From gentle warmth to feral destruction.
Add warmth, grit, and attitude to your drums. From subtle harmonic color to raging distortion, DB-30 will make your drums cut through the mix.
- Six saturation modes hand-picked and tuned for drums
- Saturate transients or sustain independently with the Target slider
- Blend between contrasting distortion flavors, from tight and choked to open and blooming
More
When you need…more.
How can less be more? More is more! MORE adds loudness, density, and excitement, helping your drums hit harder and sit perfectly in the mix.
- Boost perceived loudness without losing character
- Add harmonic richness and analog-style punch
- Apply subtle polish to bold limiting. Target transients or sustain independently for precise control
